Kaitlin Beckett composes a collection of curious beasts from the sea to the subconscious. Beckett paints with airbrush, dip pen and stained fingers, embellished with iridescent pigments and metal leaf. She simultaneously manifests the real and the macabre. The natural world, cryptozoology, literature and science fiction are disguised as recurring themes. Beckett originally from New Zealand, is currently living and working in Melbourne, Australia. She has exhibited throughout Australia, New Zealand, the United States and the United Kingdom.
